Add your startup

Pick where your users sign up. We count them ourselves with the least access that can do it, and a database is only ever read through a read-only login. UserCount is open source, so you can read every request we make.

Auth0
  1. In Auth0, open Applications → Create Application → Machine to Machine.
  2. Authorize it for the Auth0 Management API with only the read:users permission.
  3. Paste its domain, client ID and client secret. We ask your tenant for its user total, nothing else.

Read-only access

With only read:users the app can change nothing, and we ask for the total alone, so no user record is ever returned to us.
